Lawn aeration in spring is the one crucial thing you should do for your lawn, if you don't do anything else to it. Briefly, punching holes into your lawn allows more air and water to reach the grass root zone, thus leading to a healthier lawn. Some lawns are also aerated in the fall. Leave the core plugs on the lawn to disintegrate. Also consider lime application to -hopefully- lower the soil acidity.
Hand aerators can be used for hard to access lawn sections or on small lawns where machine rental wouldn't make sense. Not exactly up to it? Green First! can help. Please call 604-562-3736. Comments are closed.
