This is pretty bad news for all green workers. As a certified arborist, it hurts even more. I never met Jody Taylor (1974-2016) but I know people who worked with him. He was a super-experienced arborist.
Pruning large Catalpa trees in a Vancouver Park on March 31, a branch broke off, slid along the boom arm and crushed Jody in the bucket. He was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries. Sad, sad, sad.
Condolences to his family! Rest in peace.
